VETCON 2017 is the continuation of a groundbreaking alliance first started in 2016 seeking to assist veterans in their transition from service to everyday life; focusing on providing financial tools, resources and support. The 2017 alliance comprises of the Tully Rinckey Foundation, Living Resources, Equitable Value LLC, the Veteran Business Outreach Center (VBOC), the University at Albany’s Center for Advancement & Understanding of Social Enterprises (CAUSE), University at Albany’s Division of Research, Direct Impact Associates LLC, Arsenal Business and Technology Partnership, the New York State office of General Services Service (OGS)-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development Division, Innovate 518 and the Red Cross.
This new alliance is meant to aid veterans facing socio-economic hardships, and promote growth through education, entrepreneurship and employment. We believe that by assisting veteran owned businesses, helping veterans find employment and providing educational resources, we can greatly enhance their opportunities for independence and self-sufficiency.
In achieving these goals, VETCON 2017 continues to have the added benefit of supporting small businesses and the upstate NY economy and the veteran community throughtou the country.
